Queen City News Pride Special 2025: ‘At A Crossroads’ explores shifting landscape for LGBTQ+ community

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Queen City News’ annual Pride Month special has a special focus for 2025. The theme, “At A Crossroads“, examines some changes that have come to the LGBTQ+ community.

A series of changes have developed since 2024 that have ranged from executive orders proclaiming that there are only “two genders,” and its affect on the transgender and intersex community, to the Charlotte Pride festival changing their location from along the streets of Uptown Charlotte to First Ward Park, to the state of LGBTQ+ health.

This is the fourth year that Queen City News has had a Pride Month special, along with covering stories throughout the month affecting LGBTQ+ people and profiling those who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
