NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans add a three-time NBA champion to their roster on the first day of NBA free agency.
ESPN NBA Senior Insider Shams Charania is reporting that the Pelicans and Kevon Looney have agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal.
The move marks the end of Kevon Looney’s time with Golden State, where he played ten years and helped the Warriors win three titles in 2017, 2018, and 2022.
Looney was the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft.
The 6’9, 220-pound center played in over 680 games with Golden State. He averaged five points, six rebounds, and fifteen minutes a game in 76 appearances last year.
