ALDOT to suspend lane closures ahead of holiday travel period

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WRBL) — The Alabama Department of Transportation will temporarily suspend lane closures during the upcoming fourth of July holiday weekend.

ALDOT says in order to keep holiday travel flowing, lane closures will be suspended from July 3 at 12:00 p.m. to July 6 at 11:59 p.m. With traffic volumes expected to rise across the state, this measure hopes to protect drivers and construction crews.
