CHICAGO — An alleged report of a sexual assault on the city’s North Side has been determined unfounded by Chicago police.

Officers responded to a call for a well-being check around 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of North Wilton in the Lakeview neighborhood.

Upon arrival, police said a 26-year-old woman alleged she was sitting in an alley when she was approached a group of four people; two men and two women.

The victim told police she was physically and sexually assaulted by the two men, before all four suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Just around noon Monday, Chicago police provided an update that upon further investigation, this incident has been determined to be not bona fide.
