Hotter weather arriving this week

Warm, humid, and mostly sunny weather is starting this Monday in Acadiana with temperatures in the mid 70s. Scattered showers and storms are expected later today with rain chances at 40%. There should be less activity compared to Sunday. High temperatures will near 92° as heat index values get hotter than 100°.

Rain chances will try to decrease further later this week leading to even hotter weather for Acadiana. Highs on the 4th of July could hit the mid 90s with a heat index going above 105° for much of the area.
