1 dead after overnight crash involving pedestrian

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died overnight after being struck by a vehicle in north Austin.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, medics responded and performed CPR on the adult, but they later died at the scene.

ATCEMS said the crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the 13000 block of Interstate 35 heading north.

It is unclear if the driver involved stayed at the scene, but KXAN is working to confirm details.
