SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Law enforcement officers from the Shreveport Police Department were recognized at Chevyland with a road show to continue honoring officers for their service and sacrifice to the community.
Shreveport officers included Corporal Chris Bordelon, Officer Samantha Gwin, and Sergeant Greg Walker. NBC Six’s Salute the Badge road show continued with a stop at Chevyland on Youree Drive.
The recognition aims to shine a spotlight on the men and women behind the badge. Walker, who also leads the department’s SWAT team, says today was truly an honor.
“These two are my fellow officers, just do the best you can, uphold what you swore the oath to and man, that’s all, that’s the only thing you can do cause at the end of the day, cause at the end of the day,” said Sgt. Greg Walker, SWAT team lead.
The Road Show will continue next week, heading to other areas of the Ark-La-Tex to honor officers for their service and sacrifice.
