20-year-old hospitalized after shooting in Merced

MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 20-year-old man was hospitalized following a shooting in Merced, the county’s sheriff’s office said.

Deputies were notified of a shooting in the area of Keely Avenue, between 22nd Street and 23rd Street in Merced on Thursday at around 11:30 p.m.

Sheriff’s officials said a 20-year-old man was injured in the shooting. He was transported to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
