NATCHITOCHES, LA (KTAL/KMSS) – On Thursday, the celebration began for the 12 new inductees to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches. The inductees were treated to a welcome reception and also took some time to speak to the media.
Inductees to this year’s class of 2025 include:
- Danny Broussard, prep basketball coach
- April Burkholder, LSU gymnast
- Danny Granger, NBA All-Star
- Vickie Johnson, WNBA All-Star, LA Tech alum
- Nick Saban, LSU head coach
- Bobby Soileau, LSU boxer
- Joe Scheuermann, prep baseball coach
- Dale Weiner, prep football coach
- Andrew Whitworth, LSU alum, Los Angeles Rams
- Herb Vincent, Dave Dixon Award
- Ed Daniels, Distinguished Service Award
- Glenn Guilbeau, Distinguished Service Award
On Friday, the inductees will be treated to a bowling event in Alexandria in the morning, followed by the Hall of Fame Rockin’ River Fest at the downtown riverbank stage in Natchitoches at night.
Saturday is when the inductees will be officially honored into the hall of fame.
