Executed warrant reveals evidence of child and sex crimes

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has arrested a man from North Shreveport for possessing child pornography, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

On June 25th, the Special Victims Unit carried out a search warrant on the 2100 block of Grimmett Drive.

Police say they arrested the homeowner, 33-year-old Johnathan Collins, after executing the search at the home.

According to a press release, the investigation revealed that Collins was in possession of child pornography and was also involved in the sexual abuse of an animal.

Collins was arrested and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on 12 counts of pornography involving juveniles and one count of animal sexual abuse.

The investigation is ongoing.
