
SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — Taste great food, drink good drinks and promote Louisiana’s seafood.
Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser spoke with Moving New Orleans Forward anchor LBJ about the Louisiana Seafood Cook-off and where it is set to happen on Friday, June 27.
Twelve chefs from around Louisiana will be at the Harbor Center in Slidell competing to be the king or queen of seafood.
“That person will compete Aug. 2 in the Convention Center. We have partnered with the Louisiana Restaurants Association, and we have a big cookoff with 14 chefs from around the country. Hopefully, we can bring that crown back to Louisiana,” said Nungesser.
Restaurants from across the Northshore with have booths at the event for the public to sample all the great food they have.
