Sporting KC stuns Charlotte FC with 2 goals in stoppage time comeback

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — In a finish few could’ve predicted, Sporting Kansas City pulled off a 2-1 comeback win over Charlotte FC on Wednesday night, scoring twice in second-half stoppage time to shock fans at Children’s Mercy Park.

Charlotte looked set to take all three points after Idan Toklomati’s slick backheel goal in the 34th minute. But with the clock ticking into the 94th minute, Mason Toye came off the bench to level the score, his first goal for Sporting. Just minutes later, Dejan Joveljic tapped in the game-winner after a perfect setup from Santiago Munoz.
