SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—Your Thursday just got a little bit sweeter. Five teams of young entrepreneurs will demonstrate their business skills at the Lemonade Day Camp Finale.
Each team of six campers has spent the week learning essential business concepts, including goal setting, profit and loss, marketing, customer service, sanitation protocols, and teamwork. Now, it’s time to put it all to the test.
Now, the thirty young entrepreneurs will put their newfound business skills on display Thursday morning on June 26, 2025, when they operate five team-based lemonade stands at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church.
“These kids have worked incredibly hard this week to understand what it takes to run a successful business,” said Jessica Schiele, Executive Director of Cohab and Lemonade Day Shreveport-Bossier City Director. “From developing their own custom lemonade recipes to learning about goal setting and financials, they’ve gained hands-on experience that will benefit them throughout their lives.”
In addition to classic and fruit-flavored lemonade options, fresh-baked cookies, brownies, and other treats will also be available.
Most items are priced between $1-$2, and organizers encourage patrons to bring small bills if possible.
The stands will be open from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., offering a variety of custom lemonade flavors and baked treats created by the campers themselves.
