LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) — A Leesville man was arrested Thursday following an extensive investigation by the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force that led to the execution of multiple search warrants and the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash.
Rickie Dewayne Bell, 41, was taken into custody in the early morning hours of June 26 after authorities executed search warrants at six locations in the Leesville area, according to Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft.
Agents identified the properties as suspected “stash houses” used to store and distribute illegal narcotics. During the raids, law enforcement recovered cocaine, multiple firearms, and an undisclosed amount of cash. All seized evidence is currently being processed.
“Throughout this investigation it has become evident that Bell’s drug trafficking operation crossed into other law enforcement jurisdictions as well as other states,” Craft said in a statement.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities did not disclose whether additional arrests are expected.
