SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Considered by some as a musical masterpiece, Frank Loesser’s Guys and Dolls follows gamblers, showgirls, and mission workers through the bustling streets of New York City.

The Shreveport Little Theatre & Academy (SLT) brings the charming Broadway hit to the historic theatre hall this summer.

According to the theatre’s webpage this award-winning classic gambles with luck and love under the bright lights of Broadway.

“Gambler, Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years.”

The curtains will pull back for opening night on Thursday, July 23, 2025. Tickets are available for seven additional shows that hit the stage every Friday and Saturday for the remainder of the month, with two select shows on Sundays.

The Shreveport Little Theatre & Academy (SLT) celebrated its 103rd consecutive season in 2024-2025. Shreveport Little Theatre, founded in 1922, is one of the oldest continuously producing community theatres in America. SLT was produced without interruption throughout the Great Depression and World War II.
