BEAVER, Utah (ABC4) — An 18-wheeler overturned on its side on Interstate 15 South by mile marker 112 near Beaver, temporarily blocking both lanes, according to Utah Highway Patrol (UHP).
The driver of the truck said that a vehicle cut him off, causing him to swerve to the left and back to the right before losing control, and toppling the truck on its side.
The truck was originally blocking both lanes before UHP was able to push it out of the left lane, allowing traffic to flow through once again.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
UHP reports that the truck was hauling meat, though specific information on the kind of meat has not yet been released.
They are currently attempting to upright the truck, fully loaded with meat, but if they are unsuccessful, they will have to unload the meat, which could take up to 5 hours.
One lane is currently open. No further delays are expected at this time.
