WAMEGO (KSNT) – Law enforcement arrested a local woman after an argument almost turned into a deadly encounter in Pottawatomie County.
Sheriff Doug Adams with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office reported in a press release that deputies were called around 12:35 a.m. on June 22 regarding a vehicle striking a woman in the 20000 block of Pauling Run Road. Deputies arriving in the area found a 43-year-old Onaga woman had allegedly hit a 52-year-old Wamego woman with a vehicle after an argument.
The Wamego woman was seriously injured in the aftermath and flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. Deputies arrested the Onaga woman on a charge of attempted murder in the second degree.
