LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas Tech University Police Department is set to provide updates on Tuesday regarding a shooting that left two officers injured and a suspect deceased.

Authorities previously said Texas Tech Police officers were checking on a suspicious vehicle near Jones AT&T Stadium around 12:45 a.m.
Texas Tech PD said the suspect pulled a gun and shot the officers. Two officers had non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The suspect was shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both of the Texas Tech Police officers were taken to University Medical Center by EMS.
