HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Hadley police recovered a stolen dirt bike that had been part of an organized theft ring last year.

In a news release from the Hadley Police Department, a resident reported that several dirtbikes were stolen from their home in April 2024. They say that it was part of an organized group who were stealing dirt bikes all over the area.

The owner recently contacted Hadley police to report that they believed they saw a post of one of their stolen bikes. Officers worked with police in Connecticut to recover one of the stolen bikes and returned it to the owner.

The person who was in possession of the stolen bike told police that they purchased it from someone he thought was the rightful owner.
