Possible drowning leaves one dead in upscale south Charlotte neighborhood

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead following a possible drowning in an upscale neighborhood near the Carmel Country Club in south Charlotte, Medic confirmed.

First responders were called to the 4700 block of Ockley Manor Lane on Tuesday, June 24, an area known for its beautiful homes and backyard pools.

Medic confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The exact cause of death is still unclear at this time. Officials are looking into whether the incident was a drowning or due to a medical condition.
