Fatal drowning reported in south Charlotte: Medic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A person has died following reports of a drowning in south Charlotte late Sunday night.

Crews responded to the 5800 block of Kirkpatrick Road in the Providence area shortly before 11 p.m. for reports of a drowning.

Medic says one person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Details are limited at this time. Police have not said if they are launching an investigation into the drowning. Information on the deceased has also not been released.
