VINEYARD, Utah (ABC4) — Search and rescue crews are currently searching Utah Lake after a WaveRunner flipped near Vineyard Beach early Sunday evening.
Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office confirms to ABC4 the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. this evening after a WaveRunner flipped near Vineyard Beach and threw the two occupants off of it.
One of the individuals involved was found and brought to shore, but the other, a 20-year-old male, has not been found. Ormond confirmed that one of the individuals was not wearing a life jacket.
Utah County Search and Rescue, along with the Utah Department of Public Safety, are searching the lake for the missing individual.
