MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — It’s official. Raising Cane’s is opening its first West Virginia location.
After the chicken finger chain posted a job for a position in Morgantown, West Virginia on June 16, a Raising Cane’s representative confirmed to 12 News Monday that a new location will be opening in Morgantown.
According to the representative, the location will be at 3515 University Town Centre Dr. and will be opening later this year in December. As of Monday, the location is not on Cane’s “Coming Soon” list on its website.
No other information was released, but the representative told 12 News that more details would be available closer to the expected opening.
The position that is listed on Raising Cane’s website is for a full-time Restaurant Leader who is responsible for “strategic direction for their restaurant” and must “drive results through people development, sales and profit growth.”
Cane’s opened 118 new restaurants in 2024 and said in a release at the beginning of 2025 that it “can’t wait to continue spreading our ONE LOVE to new places in 2025!”
Currently, the closest locations to north central West Virginia are in the Pittsburgh area and there are no open locations in the state of West Virginia.
