LEAF RIVER, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested a Foreston woman for drunk driving after he took down two utility poles and several trees in a crash Sunday afternoon.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, around 4:55 p.m., deputies were called to a crash scene in the 7100 block of Illinois Route 2.
Police said a gray Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Jacqueline Hollaway, 62, was traveling southbound and crossed the center line into the northbound lane, and then went into a ditch and continued into the utility poles and trees before coming to rest.
Hollaway was taken to a Rockford hospital for treatment of what police described as minor injuries.
She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, and was given a notice to appear at a future court date.
