BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The LSU Tigers beat the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Sunday in Game 2 of the College World Series Finals to become the 2025 National Champions.
At the end of Game 2, LSU beat CCU 5-3. At the end of Game 1, LSU defeated Coastal Carolina 1-0.
Coastal Carolina head coach Kevin Schnall, along with his first base coach Matt Schilling, were ejected from the game in the bottom of the first inning. According to an NCAA statement, Schnall and Schilling were ejected for arguing about balls and strikes. Per NCAA rules, Schnall is suspended for two games and Schilling for three due to their conduct following the ejections.
