Search underway for missing swimmer at South Side beach

CHICAGO (WGN) – Rescue crews are searching for a missing person in the water at a South Side beach Saturday afternoon.

Officials said crews were sent to 63rd Street Beach at around 3:40 p.m. to look for a male swimmer of unknown age. The swimmer went into the water and did no resurface.

No other information was released.
