Indiana woman killed in Perry County ATV ‘accident’

SLEMP, Ky. (FOX 56) — A reported accident at an ATV park in Perry County on Friday took the life of an Indiana woman.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, that deputies had been sent to Leatherwood Off-Road in response to reports of an accident with injuries.

Officials said Melanie Lynn Ingram, age 67, of Milan, Indiana, was “partially ejected from an ATV,” leading to her death.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

She was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene by the Perry County Coroner’s Office.

“Our prayers go out to the family of Mrs. Ingram and all that loved her,” deputies wrote. “May God give you strength in these difficult days.
