DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Northbound I-15 in Davis County is set to close this Saturday night as crews continue demolishing the Shepard Lane bridge.
The closure will start on June 21 at 9:30 p.m. on northbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane and last through 11 a.m. on June 22. The Utah Department of Transportation said that a week later, on Saturday, June 28, the same area is scheduled to be closed to complete demolition work. Drivers will be detoured to U.S. Route 89 and Main Street in Kaysville.
The new interchange that UDOT is building at Shepard Lane in Farmington is expected to reduce congestion and increase safety in the area. It will cross over the Union Pacific Railroad and Utah Transit Authority tracks to create another connection to local roads.
UDOT said the project will also improve pedestrian and bike connectivity along Park Lane, the ramps associated with I-15, U.S. Route 89, and Legacy Parkway (State Route 67).
The new interchange is expected to open in late 2026. UDOT said construction schedules can be weather-dependent and subject to change. To stay updated on construction, visit the UDOT traffic website or download the UDOT Traffic app.
