UDOT will be reducing I-15 to one lane in both directions Friday evening between 200 North in Kaysville and Park Lane in Farmington. Crews will be pouring concrete for the deck of the new Shepard Lane bridge.
The closures will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening and continue through until 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Both northbound and southbound traffic will be affected.
“Once complete, it’s going to make a real difference for families and commuters in this thriving part of Davis County,” Mitch Shaw, Senior Communication Manager with UDOT, said.
The bridge is part of an ongoing I-15 reconstruction project in Davis County. The Shepard Lane interchange is intended to reduce congestion and enhance safety in the area. UDOT says it’s constructing several new improvements including a 10-foot-wide trail, new sidewalks, and a pedestrian bridge.
According to UDOT, the interchange will cross over Union Pacific Railroad and UTA tracks to improve pedestrian and bike connectivity along with the freeway ramps.
The interchange is expected to open in late 2026.
