- Robbers drive stolen truck into Turkey Creek gas station, rip ATM from floor with chain

TURKEY CREEK, La. (KLFY) — A Turkey Creek gas station was robbed early this morning when a truck drove through the front door and three people took the store’s ATM, authorities said.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office responded at about 2 a.m. today to an alarm activation at the Bayou One Stop in the Turkey Creek area. Upon arrival deputies found the front door to the business completely destroyed and the ATM removed.
When reviewing video from the business, deputies noticed a black 4-door Ford F-250 4×4 back into the front door, where three people connected a chain from the truck to the ATM and ripped it out of the floor.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the vehicle was stolen the previous evening from St. Landry Parish.
Authorities said the video showed three suspects wearing dark colored hooded sweaters with their faces covered, one of them with what appeared to be a small handgun.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office’s online tip line or call 337-363-2161.
