NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The dog days of summer have arrived.
The season is official, and so is one dog.
He may be New Orleans’ favorite dog.
You know him, he’s Scrim, the rescue dog who did not want to be rescued.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood says, Scrim has more than a good bark.
The Canine Crooner is the writer and the singer.
In real life, he’s Craig Cortello.
When he’s not making dog music, he works in sales and marketing for an environmental and engineering consulting company.
Whatever money he makes from his music, he donates to animal rescue.
Even if the star of his latest single did not want to be rescued, Scrim caught the attention and captured the hearts of New Orleans.
At a place in New Orleans called the Dog House, Scrim’s got his own sandwich on the menu.
It’s called the Scrim Scramble.
