LACOMBE, La. (WGNO) — A Lacombe man was arrested and is facing drug charges after he allegedly led St. Tammany Parish deputies on a chase.
On June 10, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies tried to pull over 47-year-old Michael Daigrepont for a traffic stop near the Lacombe traffic circle when he allegedly did not stop.
STPSO officials said Daigrepont is accused of leading deputies on a pursuit and driving through a ditch before continuing the chase on foot into a wooded area and bayou.
While getting out of the car, Daigrepont allegedly left behind hypodermic syringes and about eight fentanyl tablets.
Daigrepont was arrested and faces charges of possession of Schedule II CDS (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated flight from an officer, obstruction of justice, resisting an officer and driving on roadway laned for traffic.
