Great Horned Owl gets trapped in soccer net at local school

FISHERS, Ind— A Great Horned Owl was spotted at Southeastern Elementary School on Thursday afternoon. Some kids found it caught in the soccer net.

The kids proceeded to call the non-emergency line, hoping a police officer could come and help the owl.

A Fishers Police Department officer arrived shortly later and freed the owl. It was then taken to the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic to be cared for.
