PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three OSU baseball stars Aiva Arquette, Gavin Turley and Dax Whitney were selected to Baseball America‘s 2025 College All-America teams on Friday.
After leading the Beavs all season long, juniors Arquette and Turley were named second-seam All-Americans and freshman pitcher Whitney was a first-team freshman All-American.
This marks Arquette’s third All-American selection this season. He also received second-team honors by Perfect Game and third-team honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
The Kailua, Hawaii native ended the year leading the team with a .354 batting average, 90 hits and 17 doubles. He was second to only Turley in terms of home runs (19) and RBIs (66).
This is also Turley’s third All-American selection. He was second on the team with a .351 batting average, 86 hits, and 13 doubles.
The outfielder led OSU in home runs and RBIs. He is only the third player in program history to hit 20 home runs in one season.
Whitney is currently number eight on the Beavers’ all-time list in strikeouts with 120 — the most ever by an Oregon State freshman.
He finished 2025 with a 6-3 record and a 3.40 ERA.
