SBA Disaster Loan Center in Bloomington to Close June 18; Deadline to apply for physical damage loans is July 29, 2025

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — June 18, 2025 — The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Bloomington will permanently close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. The center, located at Ivy Tech Community College, Room B201, 200 Daniels Way, has been assisting residents, businesses, and nonprofits impacted by the May 16 tornado and severe storms in Monroe County and surrounding areas.

Local residents and business owners affected by the disaster are encouraged to visit the center before it closes to apply for low-interest SBA disaster loans. The SBA offers assistance to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and private nonprofit organizations.

Key benefits of the SBA disaster loan program include:

• No application fee or obligation to accept the loan
• No prepayment penalty
• No accrued interest or required payments for the first 12 months

The deadline to apply for physical damage loans is July 29, 2025. Survivors do not need to wait for an insurance settlement before applying.
