JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for a suspect after a 53-year-old man was killed during a shooting.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Gentry Street just before 3:45 p.m. on June 18.
Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said Troy Howard, Jr., was shot multiple times and transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) where he died from his injuries.
Brown said the suspect was a Black male who was wearing all black. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
