City Marshal Amnesty Day this Saturday for outstanding warrants and fines

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport City Marshal will host Amnesty Day this Saturday.

Anyone with an outstanding warrant through the Shreveport City Court can have their warrants recalled with a new court date set without fear of being arrested or pay additional fees. Those with delinquent fines can get a new payment schedule.

Just visit the Shreveport City Council in-person and bring your ID between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 21.

This only applies to warrants and fines issued through the Shreveport City Court. This does not apply to warrants involving domestic abuse or battery of a dating partner, DWI’s, or probation.

City Marshal James Jefferson said this annual event puts citizens on the right path with the court while benefitting the city overall.
