BOSSIER PARISH (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program has received a prestigious national recognition.
Each year, the Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program submits productions for evaluation as part of its ongoing participation in theKennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). A festival that offers students and faculty the opportunity to receive feedback from industry professionals and compete for scholarships and national honors.
This year, the BPCC struck gold when their production was honored with six Meritorious Awards for Excellence, along with two nominations for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. The awards recognize the accomplishments of both students and faculty/staff who contributed to the production held at the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre on the BPCC campus.
BPCC theatre students Logan Pudak and Ja’Siah Jackson have been nominated for the 2025–2026 Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship for their performances as Christopher Boone and Roger Shears, respectively.
They will advance to compete at the KCACTF regional conference in Abilene, Texas, in February 2026.
