Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. (Nasdaq, NYSE Texas: DJT), the parent company of Truth Social and streaming service Truth+, has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a new cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) that will hold Bitcoin and Ethereum directly.
Named the Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF, B.T., the fund will allocate 75% of its assets to Bitcoin and 25% to Ether. Shares of the ETF will be offered to investors with the goal of reflecting the price performance of the two leading cryptocurrencies.
According to a company press release Monday morning, Crypto.com will serve as the ETF’s exclusive custodian, as well as the prime execution agent, staking provider, and liquidity partner. The ETF is expected to be listed on NYSE Arca pending SEC approval of both the registration and an associated Form 19b-4 filing.
The ETF will be sponsored by Yorkville America Digital, a firm known for digital asset and fintech investment products.
The announcement marks another step in Trump Media’s expansion into financial services through its Truth.Fi brand, which is being promoted as an “America First” fintech alternative to established firms. This ETF filing follows a June 13 announcement that the SEC had accepted a related registration for Trump Media’s Bitcoin treasury strategy, which includes holding Bitcoin on the company’s balance sheet.
The company emphasized that the ETF cannot launch or accept investments until its registration becomes effective. The offering will only proceed through an official prospectus in compliance with federal securities laws.
“This press release shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy,” the company noted in its disclaimer, “nor shall there be any sale of the Shares or any other securities in any state or jurisdiction in which such offer, solicitation, or sale would be unlawful.”
