ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two teens, who allegedly conducted a home invasion while armed with shotguns on Sunday, have been arrested.
According to Rockford Police, two 17-year-old assailants broke into a home in the 500 block of London Avenue around 3:15 a.m.
Responding officers were able to locate both subjects in the home invasion, hiding in a basement in the 1500 block of Greenwood Avenue.
A rifle was found in the flight path of the two suspects, police said.
Both now face charges of home invasion, possession of stolen property, criminal trespass, and aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm.
The teens were placed in the custody of the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
