Shreveport suspect arrested with stolen motorcycle, narcotics, a firearm

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Officers have arrested a man found in possession of suspected narcotics, a firearm, and a stolen motorcycle at the 8100 block of Mansfield Road.

According to the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), officers investigated 39-year-old George Pruett and found that he was in possession of suspected methamphetamine that he “attempted to conceal internally.”

Officers say the narcotics were safely recovered and entered into evidence.

Shreveport Police state he faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Possession of a Schedule II narcotic
  • Possession of stolen property (motorcycle)
  • Introduction of contraband into a penal institution
  • Outstanding warrant for theft
  • Parole violation

Pruett was taken into custody and transported to the Shreveport City Jail. No bond has been set.
