MURRAY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police has opened an investigation after police shot a Murray man on Monday.
In a news release, the Murray Police Department was called about an “out-of-control male’ with a weapon at a home on Brooklyn Drive.
The man, identified as 23-year-old Eric W. Saxton, allegedly threatened officers before one shot and injured Saxton, according to authorities.
The department said the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
