Rockford woman accused of dragging a man through a parking lot with her car

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Dejanee Chatman, 27, for allegedly dragging a man through a parking lot with her car.

On June 16, around 2 a.m., officers were called to the 4500 block of Governors Drive for reports of domestic violence. The victim told authorities that Chatman attempted to fight a woman he was with and stole his backpack.

The car’s window was partially down, so the victim attempted to take his bag back, according to court records.
