Two-year-old child found dead after going missing in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A two-year-old child has died after going missing in Summit County.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report of a missing 2-year-old child in the Christmas Meadows area Saturday Morning. The child was found by law enforcement shortly after the call came in.

The child was taken to a hospital in Wyoming by air ambulance and later transferred to a Salt Lake area hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

A family member was also taken to the hospital for a separate medical concern not related to the missing child.

An investigation into the circumstances regarding the child’s death is ongoing.
