Washington State Park hosts ‘History Through the Shadows’ hike

WASHINGTON, Ark. (KTAL/KMSS) — History is closer than you think, and you can experience it at Historic Washington State Park.

The park is designed to be a recreation of the town as it was in the 1800s. Daily tours cover over 15 historic sites and museums, including the B.W. Edwards Weapons Museum and Blacksmith Shop.

On June 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., enjoy the “History through the Shadows Hike,” a special evening guided tour allowing guests to see the park from a different perspective, including buildings that have been standing since the antebellum years.

Registration is required for attendance, and the cost is $15. To register, contact the park visitor center at 870-983-2684.
