(KRON) – One person was killed and two were injured after a Bay Point shooting early Saturday morning, said the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 12:58 a.m., Muir Station deputies were dispatched to the 2100 block of Mendocino Drive in Bay Point for the report of a shooting.
Arriving officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a front yard. Deputies said they rendered aid until the fire department and ambulance arrived. According to the sheriff’s office, the victim has since succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity is being withheld.
Two other shooting victims, according to authorities, took themselves to a local hospital and are being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.
