Evansville man arrested after threatening to ‘shoot up’ Haynies Corner concert

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Evansville Police arrested a man who they say planned to “shoot up” a concert in Haynie’s Corner.

Police say that 20-year-old Aydon Cassada, was arrested following a concerning comment made on social media, where he allegedly threatened to shoot up the Heavy on Haynies concert taking place on June 13. Cassada reportedly confirmed to police that he made the comment, but claimed the message was not intended to be taken seriously.

Cassada is currently being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond and faces charges of intimidation.
