Timothy Farber, 61, was booked into the Gibson County Jail and charged with murder on July 22. He is being held without bond. Indiana State Police and FBI arrested Farber in connection to the murder of Norman Ellerbrook.
According to Indiana State Police, Ellerbrook was murdered on September 2, 1993, at his home near Warrenton. Ellerbrook was found by his roommate at the bottom of the stairs to the basement. An autopsy revealed Ellerbrook died from a blunt force trauma to the head, and he was found with several stab wounds on his body. Ellerbrook was 63 at the time of his death.
Authorities say DNA evidence helped link Farber to Ellerbrook’s death. A murder arrest warrant for Farber was filed on Tuesday, and he was arrested without incident by Evansville Police in the area of Fulton Avenue and Maryland Street.
