Over $85,000 in unpaid construction wages recovered in Saline County

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – In Saline County, Illinois, the State Department of Labor recovers over $85,000 in unpaid wages for workers on a construction project.

The agency says it found that 17 people working on a solar panel construction project were being paid unfairly after an investigation of D&D Electric.

Labor officials say Illinois law requires employees on publicly funded projects to be paid fairly for their work. It was determined the company violated the law by failing to correctly pay workers, and $17,000 in penalties were recovered from the business.
