LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Louisville man is facing numerous charges after reportedly trying “to do bad things” to a minor while she was home alone on Saturday.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said Ignace Ufitumukiza, 67, reportedly entered an apartment at the 3600 block of Dena Drive, causing the minor to call the police.
In an arrest citation, the minor claimed Ufitumukiza was trying to do bad things to her and showed her pornography on his phone, then asked if she liked it.
The police said after stating she didn’t like it, he tried pulling down her pants while she fought to keep them up. During the struggle, she claimed he kept trying to grab private parts of her body, and she continued hitting his hands away.
The citation alleged that after she was able to get away from him, Ufitumukiza touched her inappropriately again before he gave her $100 and told her not to tell her dad.
As he went to leave, LMPD said he quickly ducked into a next-door apartment he didn’t live in. He was identified as the man accused of sexual assault and arrested.
Records show Ufitumukiza was booked into the Louisville Department of Corrections, where he was charged with:
He’s due to appear in court at 9 a.m. on June 17 and was held on a $10,000 cash bond, according to court documents. He posted bail on June 9.
